Manage Family ("Manage Family," "we," "us," or "our") operates the website at https://managefamily.com and a private home-monitoring notification service. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected, why it is used, and the choices available to you.
Information we collect
We may collect:
- Contact information that you voluntarily send by email, such as your name, email address, and message.
- Subscription preferences if you choose to request updates.
- SMS information when the owner or authorized operator of the private monitoring system enrolls a mobile number to receive operational alerts.
- Technical information collected automatically by our hosting, security, and communications providers, such as IP address, browser type, timestamps, delivery status, and limited diagnostic data.
Do not send sensitive personal information through the public support address.
How we use information
We use information only as reasonably necessary to:
- Respond to inquiries;
- Operate and secure the website;
- Deliver requested home-monitoring alerts;
- Diagnose delivery failures and maintain the notification service;
- Comply with applicable legal obligations; and
- Prevent abuse, fraud, or misuse.
SMS privacy
The Manage Family Home Monitoring Alerts program sends low-volume operational messages to the owner or authorized operator of a private Home Assistant system. It is not an advertising or lead-generation program.
Mobile information, SMS opt-in data, and consent records are not sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may provide the minimum information necessary to communications providers, including Twilio and participating carriers, solely to transmit messages, maintain delivery records, prevent abuse, and comply with law. Text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Message frequency varies according to environmental conditions and system status. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance.
Service providers
We use service providers that process limited information on our behalf, including:
- Cloudflare for website hosting, security, and email routing;
- Twilio and telecommunications carriers for SMS delivery; and
- Security or anti-abuse services used by the website platform.
These providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies and only as needed to provide their services to us.
Data retention
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the requested service, maintain security and delivery records, resolve disputes, or satisfy legal obligations. Operational alert history may be retained for troubleshooting and then deleted or aggregated when no longer needed.
Your choices
You may:
- Reply STOP to an SMS to stop future SMS messages;
- Contact us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of information you submitted, subject to legal and operational retention requirements; and
- Decline optional website updates.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards appropriate to a small, privately operated service. No internet or telecommunications system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children
The website and monitoring-alert service are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
