These Terms of Service govern use of https://managefamily.com and the Manage Family Home Monitoring Alerts program. By using the website or enabling the alert service, you agree to these terms.

Service description

Manage Family provides informational website content and a private, owner-operated notification service. The Home Monitoring Alerts program sends operational messages about environmental conditions and monitoring-system status, including unsafe temperature or humidity, sensor unavailability, reminders, tests, and recovery notices.

The alert service supplements—but does not replace—proper equipment monitoring, fire and water detection, physical inspection, redundant cooling, or emergency procedures. Sensor readings, networks, power, third-party services, and message delivery can fail or be delayed.

SMS terms

Program name: Manage Family Home Monitoring Alerts

Program purpose: Low-volume, non-marketing operational alerts from a private Home Assistant installation to its owner or authorized operator.

• Enrollment is limited to the owner or an authorized operator who manually provides a mobile number and enables alerts.
• Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of purchasing goods or services.
• Message frequency varies with system conditions. Tests and periodic reminders may also be sent while a problem remains unresolved.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Reply STOP to cancel SMS messages.
• Reply HELP for assistance or use the Contact Us form at https://managefamily.com.
• Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
• Delivery is subject to carrier availability, Twilio service availability, network connectivity, and the continued operation of the monitoring system.

After an opt-out request, one final confirmation message may be sent. The recipient may opt in again only through a new affirmative enrollment action.

Our handling of mobile information is described in the Manage Family Privacy Policy. Mobile information and SMS consent are not sold or shared for third-party marketing.

Acceptable use

You may not use the website or alert service to:

• Violate law or the rights of another person;
• Send unsolicited, deceptive, abusive, or prohibited messages;
• Interfere with the website, monitoring system, or communications providers; or
• Attempt unauthorized access to accounts, systems, or data.

No warranty

The website and alert service are provided on an "as available" basis without warranties of uninterrupted operation, delivery, accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or suitability as a life-safety system. Environmental thresholds and sensor placement remain the responsibility of the system owner.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Manage Family and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from use of or inability to use the website or alert service, including delayed, missing, or inaccurate alerts.

Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes and termination

We may update, suspend, or discontinue the website or alert service and may revise these terms when operational or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest revision.
